Cairo's 'Apocalypse Horse' creates 'net controversy

Viewers claim to see 4th horseman of the apocalypse on Cairo riot

Are folks jumping to conclusions … or saddled with disbelief?
Apocalyptic rumors abound. First, scores of dead birds fell from the sky, and scientists blamed fireworks. Then schools of fish went belly-up for no apparent reason. Then a whole herd of Wisconsin cows fell flat in the field, apparently from eating spoiled spuds.
Suddenly, cyberspace exploded with alleged sightings of a giant UFO, hovering over Jerusalem, even as record-breaking storms erupted in various parts of the globe.
Imaginative stories emerged, as folks tried to connect the dots.
Most recently, television reporters and viewers have marveled at mysterious images from Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt.  Did news cameras actually capture a phantom equestrian on a white horse, racing through the rioting crowd in Cairo’s streets?
Watching an MSNBC report, blogger BarrioLotus116 was perhaps the first to notice what he called a "remarkable and eerie refraction of light.” Soon, videos popped up all over YouTube and similar video sites.
What was the weird image?
Was it a rider on a white horse or merely a flash or fiery reflection from a building in downtown Cairo? Did news reporters actually film a ghost, a spectral figure or an optical illusion?
Could it be a sign of the biblical Revelation’s Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse, or is someone merely horsing around with video technology? Is the image paranormal evidence or just a screen blip? Is it psychic, scientific or simply strange?
Here are the videos. See for yourself, and take your conclusions

  1. It's a lens flare from the fire. It moves in the direct opposite motion of the fire and even exits the screen the exact time the fire does. It's just upsidedown because that is how a camera lens works...if you look at the video again at 10:14 mins/secs, you can see another green flare from the smaller fire. It's the angle that the camera shot at that very moment.
